Watch Battery Installation FAQs

Bring your watch to We Fix It, located inside a Batteries Plus Bulbs store near you, where a trained associate can expertly install your new watch battery.

Not all fine watches use batteries, but when they do, they should last for at least 2 years. However, just like cars or any other piece of machinery, there are several factors that affect the life of your battery:

  • Whether your watch is digital or analog.
  • The size of the battery.
  • The functions your watch offers and how often you use them.
  • How often you use the chronograph function (leaving it running will cause the battery life to decrease rapidly).
  • Your watch being exposed to extreme temperatures for a prolonged period of time.

We'll inspect your watch to determine whether a dead battery is causing the problem. If your battery needs replacing, we'll use our tools to properly open your watch, remove the dead battery and replace it with a new cell.

Shop our selection of watch batteries online, and search by battery format to find the right pick for your watch. Not sure what kind of battery you need? Come by your local Batteries Plus Bulbs store for assistance from our knowledgeable associates.

Our pricing varies depending on the store and location. Go to a Batteries Plus Bulbs store to learn more about your options, including lifetime replacements and one-time watch battery replacements near you.
