Hillsboro, Oregon welcomes the first Batteries Plus Bulbs location in the city with established franchise owner Jose Perez at the helm. Perez, a former commercial sales executive, recalls a moment in 1993 when all of his electronic devices' batteries were dead and after struggling to find a specialized battery retailer he stumbled across Batteries Plus Bulbs.
