What’s the best part of winter? Snowmobile season, of course! There’s nothing better than heading out into the great outdoors on these versatile, cross-country vehicles. There's nothing better than experiencing the great outdoors on these versatile, cross-country vehicles. Take a look at our handy checklist below for help packing the headlight bulbs, flashlights and other gear you’ll need for your upcoming adventure.

Snowmobile Headlight Bulbs, Flashlights & Tools

With the days getting shorter, chances are you’ll be doing some riding after dark. One of the most important ways to prepare is by making sure your headlights are up to the task. Replace any burnt out bulbs before your trip and be sure to carry a spare set in case a headlight burns out while you’re on the trail.

It’s recommended that you pack additional spark plugs, along with a wrench to replace them. You might also want to pack some spare fuses too. This LittelFuse 15 pack contains the most common ATO and MINI fuses. Also, be sure to carry a pair of jumper cables with you in case you experience battery issues. A versatile utility tool is something every rider should have in their travel pack. The NEBO 7-in-1 provides you with seven different tools, including a pliers, wire cutter, screwdriver and more.

Flashlights are essential equipment on the trail, allowing you to check your maps and fix belts or plugs. The NEBO Redline V and Redline 6K are solid outdoor choices. Both are waterproof and feature multiple light modes. The NEBO Duo LED Headlamp is another smart option, providing you with the full use of your hands, which is a definite advantage when trying to replace parts or locate equipment in the dark.

Make Sure People Can See You

Looking for ways to make yourself more visible after dark?. A High-Visibility Safety Vest is the perfect way to stand out in low light. These are the exact same vests used by construction workers, crossing guards and other high-risk workers in the field. Each vest features high-visibility yellow/green coloring, together with silver reflective strips. Available in small, medium, large and X-large sizes.

The Nite Ize SlapLit™ is another great option. It acts as a rechargeable light up bracelet for your wrist or ankle. Or, pick up a RADIANT® LED Mini Glow Stick. These battery-powered glow sticks are a great alternative to chemical light sticks and are available in green, white, red and blue.

Portable Power

Any time you’re in a remote area, it’s important to keep your cell phone powered up to remain in communication. The Tzumi Slim Pocket Juice is the perfect way to keep cell phones and tablets charged up when you’re away from an electrical outlet.

If you’re looking for something you can slip into a pocket, the PawaMini is the ideal choice. These single-use power packs are ultra-portable, pre-charged and ready to charge your phone right out of the package.

LED Road Flares

A set of LED road flares are the perfect thing to have on hand in case of an emergency. These ultra-bright flares are non-toxic, flameless, smokeless, crushproof and waterproof, making them perfect for signaling emergency vehicles or other riders. They have seven different flash patterns and are available in the following three varieties.

Classic Flares

These flares run on AA batteries and feature a single row of 18 smart LEDs that can be seen from up to one mile away. They’re available in a 4-pack.

Universal Flares

Similar to classic flares, universal flares feature an internal lithium battery that can be recharged with the included charging stand. We offer them in both a 4-pack and 6-pack.

Super Road Flares

Super road flares have the same rechargeable lithium battery as universal flares, but feature two rows of 24 larger LEDs which can be seen up to two miles away. Pick up a single super road flare or a 4-pack today.

Other Emergency Supplies

Winter weather can be unpredictable. Be sure that you’re prepared in case the power goes out. Alkaline batteries are a must-have for winter storms, allowing you to power flashlights and radios. Depending on where you’re staying, you may also want to consider bringing a generator. A 2500W Inverter Generator is a lightweight, portable way to backup a few crucial home essentials.

A little preparation can help you get the most out of your snowmobile trip. Remember to have your battery tested before you leave to make sure it’s still functioning reliably.
