PRESS RELEASE - 12/12/2017 - Havas Formula PR
Hartland, WI (December 7, 2017) – Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation's only battery, light bulb, and phone repair franchise, today announced the appointment of five individuals to franchise development, stores and real estate positions. Brian Murphy is the new Senior Vice President, Stores; John Tramburg is Vice President, Supply Chain & Logistics; Derek Siddons is Vice President, Company Stores; John Kollm is Director of Services; and Dana Polonsky is Director of Real Estate. The expansion of Batteries Plus Bulbs' leadership team coincides with a banner year of growth and recognitions for the company.
Entrepreneur® Magazine once again honored the specialty retailer as a top franchise for veterans, and recognized Batteries Plus Bulbs for the eighth consecutive year as the number one franchise in the Battery Category in its annual Franchise 500 list. For the seventh consecutive year, Batteries Plus Bulbs was named one of the Top 200TM Franchise Systems in the U.S. by Franchise Times®. The Franchise Times Top 200 list ranks the top 200 franchise systems in the United States based on their worldwide system sales for the prior year. The ranking comes as a result of a rewarding 2016 as the franchise sold over 85 million batteries and light bulbs, and repaired more than a half million phones, resulting in a system-wide sales increase of more than 5 percent YTD. The company ends 2017 with a nationwide network of more than 700 stores.
Murphy has over 20 years of experience in specialty retail store operations, most recently at PetSmart where he served as the Regional Vice President of the West Coast. Prior to PetSmart, he was with CompUSA for 13 years, where he was Regional Director, Stores. Tramburg also has more than two decades of retail supply chain experience working at Cabela's, Target and Uline in various leadership positions. Siddons previously held executive positions with Gander Mountain and Circuit City. Kollm has served in sales and operations capacities, leading operational execution of the golf department at DICK'S Sporting Goods, strategic planning and store execution for its Golf Galaxy specialty retail division, and full program management for store services across all retail banners. Polonsky comes to Batteries Plus Bulbs with 20 years of experience in the national shopping center industry. She spearheaded the real estate process at Florsheim Shoes, Five Guys, and MOD Superfast Pizza.
"We're thrilled to close out a successful year with the additions of these incredibly talented and passionate individuals to our management team," said Russ Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer, Batteries Plus Bulbs.
