The middle of July is known as the heart of hurricane season, and this year it’s not just coastal states that are feeling the impact of heavy storms. Batteries Plus Bulbs commercial sales manager, Cory Pockat, talks to KXRM-TV to discuss ways you can better prepare your home in the case of a power outage or potential property damage. Pockat suggests items like power inverters, which can be plugged into a car cigarette lighter and directly charge up devices. External battery packs and chargers for phones are another way to make sure you won’t lose your ability to make calls or texts in case of an emergency.
