Chuck Duty and his wife Sharon are the proud owners of the newest business to open its doors in Florence – the nation’s largest light bulb and battery chain, Batteries Plus Bulbs. After Chuck, a pilot for more than 20 years lost his job, he and Sharon decided that their next pursuit would be going into business together. Their main requirement when they began to explore franchise opportunities was that they didn’t want to work in a saturated market. They accomplished just this by opening the first Batteries Plus Bulbs store in Northern Kentucky.
