Batteries Plus Bulbs franchisee Chris Hanner talks to the Springfield Business Journal to discuss the opening of his second location with the company, something that has been a long time coming for him. According to Hanner, he has been looking to open a second location in northwest Springfield for over a year. The problem lie in the fact that his ideal location had been previously leased. Biding his time, Hanner leapt at the first opportunity he could to land 1,600 square-foot space he know rents. He says that the expansion was necessary in order to better serve is retail and business account customers, but he knew the high levels of return he could continue to expect on his investment. As one of the first stores to implement the company’s rebrand into Batteries Plus Bulbs, Hanner strives to continue his position as a leader among franchisees and create opportunity for others.
