Jerry Stokes, a franchisee with battery and light bulb retailer Batteries Plus Bulbs, talks to the Turlock Journal about the opening of his newest store in Turlock. Stokes, who also operates a store in Modesto, says that providing retail and commercial battery and lighting products for the area is just part of what he hopes to accomplish with the Turlock store. Stokes hopes to build relationships with local businesses and help them save money by offering volume discount opportunities and energy-efficient lighting options to lower their energy footprint. On top of selling products, the Turlock location can provide battery testing free of charge as well as free deliveries for commercial customers.
