Batteries Plus Bulbs Lights Up Market Hartland-Based Company Sees Significant Growth in Locations, Changes Name

Reynolds also provides insight into the recent rebranding efforts that incorporated "Bulbs" into the company name. Reynolds says that with incandescent bulbs phasing out due to federal legislation there was a void of energy-efficient bulb retailers in the marketplace that could help consumers in an assisted-sale retail environment. He saw this as an opportunity for Batteries Plus to move into that space. As the company grows at a pace near 50 stores per year, Reynolds expects to reach “critical mass” between 800 and 1,000 stores while continuing to spread the company’s services to more communities nationwide.
