Hartland, WI—After strenuous review and research, compiling survey results and other data, Batteries Plus has been named a Military Friendly Franchise for 2010 by G.I. Jobs magazine. This honor ranks the leading battery retailer in the top ten percent of all franchises nationwide.

This is promising news for the three million military members and veterans seeking a franchise.

Likewise, as a franchisor, Batteries Plus sets up systems for our owners that are tested, proven models for success. Angel Cartagena, owner of the Batteries Plus in Union, New Jersey is a veteran of the Air Force. His son, Angel Jr., is the general manager of the store, and is also in the Air Force, serving the 514th Air Medical Evacuation Squad as an air medic.

Kurt Walker, owner of the Hampton and Newport News, Virginia locations is also a veteran of the Air Force. Walker, a Senior Master Sergeant, served for more than 20 years, and found franchising appealing because of the systems.
